* I will start with the Generic Statistics

* Look at 7 year olds in Festival Handicap Chases
* Thats any and every Non Novice Handicap Chase
* None have ever managed to win with 11st or more
* All 73 horses aged 7 Failed so be wary of these
* SUPER DUTY has 11st 12lbs
* Thats 13lbs more than any 7yo carried at this festival
* SAINT ARE is also 7 with too much weight
* PROBLEMA TIC has the same problem
* ON TREND also fails this Generic statistic
* VESPER BELL also fails this Generic statistic
* SAME DIFFERENCE also fails it
* LOOSE PREFORMER also fails it
* The problem is almost every runner has 11st or more
* That is going to make it harder to get these beaten
* I dont like horses absent more than 80 days
* There is a Generic stat showing these struggle
* With 13 + runs and No Grade 1-2 form none have won
* GALAXY ROCK has that against him
* LIBERTY COUNSEL also fails that
* I looked at horses from Grade 1 or Grade 2 chases
* None of these carried 11st 3lbs or more
* Thats in any Handicap Chase at this meeting
* SUPER DUTY fails this statistic
* I looked at 8 year olds in All Handicap Chases
* None have won with more than 11st 7lbs
* HARRY THE VIKING fails that

These Generic Stats could be under pressure because
of the weights in this race. I dont like SUPER DUTY as
a high weighted 7 year old. I have looked at all these
Horses that failed the Generic Statistics just to double
check. I felt VESPER BELL was too inexperienced to
win this with 3 Chase runs. I'h happy GALAXY ROCK
has lots to prove exposed and potentially underraced
this year. HARRY THE VIKING also came out badly. It
is best to ignore all the above horses but the one that
may be worth keeping on side is SAME DIFFERENCE.

* Horses coming from 2m 6f or shorter struggled
* They had a poor 1-82 record in recent years
* SUNNY LEDGEND comes out badly from 2m

* BECAUSEICOULDNTSEE also comes from 2m
* He was 2nd last year having prepped at 2m
* He was in better form last year though

* FRISCO DEPOT comes from a 2m 5f race
* Thats not a good profile and I cant match him

* BAHRAIN STORM is wrong from a 19f race

* ROMANESCO comes from a 2m 4f race
* Thats a big problem especially as he is exposed
* ROMANESCO should have won here last October
* He fell at the last fence but it was a weaker race
* He's won off 119 but twice been beaten off 125
* Today off 131 it's a career high mark
* ROMANESCO may win but his profiles flawed

* Horses aged 7-8-9-10 have won the last 19 renewals
* Older horses aged 11 or more are 0-64
* RICHARD´S SUNDANCE is 11 and shouldnt be up to this
* SWING BILL is 12 and with Topweight is out

* No horse aged 10 or more had under 4 runs that season
* ALFIE SHERRIN fails this with just two runs this season
* I tipped him last year when he won at the Festival
* He was younger then and had twice as many runs that year
* ALFIE SHERRIN didnt have a long absence as he does now
* I dont think he has enough in his favour
* From a Career high mark he isnt for me

* DEAL DONE doesnt appeal
* Not exposed with an absence
* I also feel there are stamina doubts with him
* COURT BY SURPRISE ran too badly just 12 days ago

Shortlist

* PRINCE OF PIRATES - Hard to judge
* I can't rule him out so best shortlisted

* CHARTREUX is unexposed over fences
* I'm not keen on the stable to be honest
* Not keen he downgraded stables recently
* I liked enough about his profile to consider

* NO SECRETS has won his last two
* He's had a recent wind operation
* He us up in class but is lightly raced
* Have to prove he will stay and act on the track
* There are doubts but he does have positives

* RELAX isnt easy to read
* I think he has enough to shortlist and consider
* Won very easily two runs ago
* I can forgive him his last run
* It's not beyond possibility he could win this
* He has to prove he handles the track though

* SAME DIFFERENCE - I am keeping him on side
* His 7lbs claimer reduces his weight as a 7yo
* He ran in a Top Class Chase last time out
* I worried whether 3m was too short last time
* This trip will suit him much better
* This is quite a well handicapped horse
