With Fakenham abandoned today is very quiet
and we have very little to choose from. This is
going to have to be a threadbare message and
there is absolutely no chance of any bet today.

The two races I'm looking forward to this week
are this weekend. The Warwick Classic Chase
on Saturday over 3m5f rocks my boat but there
is always a circus about whether its abandoned
or not. The other race is a high class chase on
Sunday at Leopardstown. Messages both days
at the weekend but then we stop. There is not
going to be messages on Monday and Tuesday
18th and 19th as I will be at my mothers funeral.

It is a horse that I can bet in different ways
I'm just working out which way to play the horse

This bet should be between 4/1 and 8/1

Three previews yesterday and I wasn't confident
which was best. They finished L P W so we didn't
do any damage and held our own. It was a scrappy
message but choice was limited and uninspiring.

MORE SPICE has only had 4 runs
Not many for a low grade 5f handicap
I can find a 4yo filly winning with 4 runs
No Male 4 year old has won with under 8 runs
Those that tried were only 0-8
But on Principle it is not a good idea
I wont risk MORE SPICE at a short price
SECRET MILLIONAIRE has an obvious chance
I decided I could not risk him either at a short price
He is a 9yo with just 1 race in 69 days
He is a 9yo with just 2 races in 6 Months
He may win but I don't want the old mule
10 year old KUANYAO is running low numbers
Horses aged 10 or more are 1-49 in similar races
My worry is a collection of low Racing Post Ratings
I don't want a 3yo NIDNOD
Not from a sire whose 5f races are poor
So this just leaves FROZEN PRINCESS

She finished behind Secret Millionaire last time
She set the pace and led for most of the way
It was only in the last furlong she was caught
She faded to 6th place
Secret Millionaire finished in 3rd place
I am going to cut her a bit of slack
FROZEN PRINCESS was short of recent runs
She had raced just once in 12 months
She no doubt lacked a bit of fitness
Her jockey stopped riding in the last furlong
It is not impossible She could make all today
That's a bit optimistic but she is 9/1
I'd rather have her than the 2 market leaders

This is a Mile Conditions race
SPECIAL SEASON is the best horse
He seems to have a respectable edge here
I think we should try for the 1st and 2nd
HOMBRE ROJO is improving nicely
He has a very recent run as well
He should emerge as the main threat
Red Rannagh and Lazzam have absences
I fancy HOMBRE ROJO to improve past them
He might even win the race
SPECIAL SEASON may set a higher standard
But she is not a big horse at all
She may not have much improvement in her
Thats why I favour the exacta
They could be 1st and 2nd in any order
