Discharge last night from hospital

Sincere apologies for the predicament

So many generous well wishes

Can not thank everyone enough

Not going to be able to reply to them all

But it was heart warming and appreciated


Last Thursday afternoon

I'd started Fridays message

I was just about to have a lie down

My usual strategy Thursday to Friday
 
1 preview written up open to change
1 preview in shorthand notes only
30 minute lie down
Then rinse and repeat


70% of every message is done
Between 3am and 6 am

So was ready for lie down for a bit

Taking off some track suit bottoms
Last part was getting it over the heel 
I was flung from a standing position
About a meter right on to my thigh
Bit like a wrestler slam dunking me
 
Knew than I was in serious trouble
Screamed in pain but heard no crack

Called an ambulance half an hour later
Took my to Lincoln who sent me away
And rerouted me to Boston Hospital

Garden 2 variety Dynamic Hip Screw

Had surgery Friday sent home yesterday

Now its crutches and zimmers

No pain just slower navigating stairs etc

Duchess has been magnificent

Biggest problem had no battery life on phone

Managed to borrow a charger for a while

Got through but a few days from hell

Nurses/cleaners were so hard working 

Had a great service can't complain

Found some archaic practices going on
Luckily for me my bowel was not affected
But the remedy they use quite shocked me
All I better say is 2 dustpans and no brush

Just going through healing process

So gradually improving but in no pain
