#1 - Offensive Content

I had an email from a full member today advising me
that his nanny like email system had blocked a racing message
from Guy today to protect him from "offensive content".

That's strange I thought.

Normally the only one to spout out offensive
comment round here is me not Guy.

But with a bit of detective work I think I found the root of it.
Go look up the result of the 5.40 at Hamilton Park on Thursday 18th
and see if you can pick out which horse name may have
thrown a neurotic anti spam filter into stress and panic.

Guy's analysis today was indeed offensive as it happens.
But only to the bookies.

He said his best bet for today was Ped Du Roi a 6/4 winner.

He also said
The only bet at York I could highlight is this

Y o r k 3.40

SEVENTH HEAVEN 4/1 Each Way
Turret Rocks Saver Bet at 25/1

Seventh Heaven was a decent winner.
Turret Rocks ran a fair race at the price.

Note The York Ebor meeting continues until Saturday
and no doubt Guy will be taking apart a few of the races there
in his Saturday message.

If you want to tune in you can book in for a single day at
http://www.mathematician-betting.co.uk/daypass

There are a few sample messages available on that link
which will give you a bit of a feel about the effort Guy goes
to before throwing his magic darts.

#2 - Win A Signed Copy Of A New Horse Racing Book.

Maurice, one of our full members here has just had published
a new novel called Neck. Skulduggery and a big racing
bookie bashing sting appear to be the general
zone of things.

This sounds like an interesting zone of material.. to me at least.

Anyhow I told Maurice I would help him out
just a little bit by passing on to you news of
his new book.

The only condition to that offer was that he
stump up two copies
..two signed by the author copies in fact.
So a little bit more special than average.

These I have put up as prizes in a simple to enter competition.
Well simple to enter but you may have to think about the correct answer.

More info about the book and competition entry at this link

http://www.mathematician-betting.co.uk/competition/neck.asp

Give it a go.
It's free and if you ain't in you can't win.

#3 - Betfair Offer For All Clients

I get pestered daily by bookies with silly offers to share with you.
Almost all of them are for new customers only.
I'd very rarely mention them.

Call me a silly old sod but I'd rather make a rarer mention when
I see a bookie doing something good for its existing clients.
Who likes businesses that operate with a 75 man sales
team but just one poor bloke supporting existing customers?

A bit of a deal for ALL clients is more prone to catch my personal eye.

Bet365 have a bit of a reputation for that sort of thing
with a big Aintree offer each year but you need to be with them
before it is announced.

Today it is Betfair throwing a bit of cash at existing clients.
In the spirit of encouraging more of the same sort of bookie behaviour
I will share it with you.

They say

"Free matching bet up to £50
When you place an in-play bet during Man Utd v Southampton on Friday"

For the full details and terms etc

click here ==> Betfair £50 Existing Customers

That offer is open to both new and existing Betfair clients.
If you become a new customer at Betfair there will be
additional new customer only offers on top of the above.
See their promotions page which ain't to hard to find via the link above.

Best of luck
Mick
